Garden Haze

I miss my garden
And the rose buds catching in my hair
Times weren't so hard then
Feeling easy breathing in the air

A secret place to run and hide away
No fears are chasing sunlight from the day
When time embraced the fun and games we played
My childish grace undone is now displayed

Chorus
Hopscotch give me the chalk
I'm gonna jump one to five
Like I did when I was a little girl
And I'm hopscotching around with my ponytail
Swinging left to right

Hopscotch give me the chalk
I know a game were gonna write naughts and crosses on the walk
And we'll go another round like we used to do
All those days in the summertime
All those lovely lovely days
In our garden lovely garden
My lovely garden haze

I miss my garden
Running carefree barefoot in the green
Times weren't so hard then
Everyday seemed playfully serene

The plumbs are way up teasing come and climb
Another flavour pleasing to my mind
The summer raindrops glistening on the vine
A Mother's pain not listening yet to mine

Chorus

Where clover fair would thrill the honey bees
And perfumed air fulfilled my fantasies
The purple pears a banquet in the trees
A little girl whose cares were yet to be

Chorus out
